The most natural way is to reduce your daily calorie intake. When reducing your consumption, it is important that you only do this slightly. Some people think it's a good idea to stop eating three meals a day, and they starve themselves - please don't do this. Raw Foods, Antioxidant Rich Diet

I know the old adage that whatever comes from the ground must be good for you. And raw foods people really stick to this saying. They are definitely onto something, because if the food is processed less, it's naturally better for you.

I can't bring myself to NOT eat meat, so this plan is definitely not for me, but I want to incorporate many more raw fruits and vegetables into my daily eating routine! These types of antioxidant foods tend to be very rich in nutrients and good stuff while low in fat, carbohydrates and other bad stuff.

If you want to naturally boost your energy, there is no supplement that will work as sufficiently as real, natural foods.

Weight Loss via Hypnosis?

People pay tons of money and try crazy things to lose weight. Some work and some don't.

One of these crazy ideas is hypnosis for weight loss. I'm not so sure if it works or not, but it has to be doing something considering it's fairly widespread.

I remember the night of my Senior Trip - we had a hypnotist there and he got a huge crowd. Unfortunately I didn't make it so I have no idea if it was all an act or not.

Losing Weight is Hard

So many people give up on weight loss before they can really begin to see the effects. I know because I'm guilty of this. But you really must stick to it if you want to see tangible results.

It's tough because there are so many bad food options out there. I have to wonder why fast food is such a prevalent option in our diets when it's probably the worst type of food for us.

I'm trying to make a change, day by day and inch by inch. Weight management is the key. I was such a picky eater when I was younger but I guess you can say my palate is starting to grow and expand as I get older. This is a good thing because many healthier foods are more appealing to me now than they ever were before.

Any way, I'm headed off to the super market in my area - need to load up on some fresh items.

Personalized Diets

When I go running I kind of make a game out of kicking stones out of the road. I like to think it is similar to that story about the boy who picks up starfish, painstakingly one at a time, and someone informs him he could never make a change there are so many fish and he says he made a difference for that. So I kick away and ponder, well I can't kick them all but screw it, I'll kick this rock right now.

This weekend we are camping in a natural place where the roads are covered in asphault and stones that are kind of sticking up from the packed down dirt. I am thrilled! I can't wait to get my kick on

Simple Weight Loss Plan

I read an interesting study recently. They tried multiple diet plans to determine which diets are most effective. What did they find? Funnily enough, the choice of diet doesn't matter. To lose weight, and keep it off, there is one diet you should stick to - your personalized diet plan.

What I mean by this is easy- don't trust the programs that say their new plan is the best way to lose weight. The most effective way is to exercise and eat healthy. If you find good foods that you enjoy, you will be able to start a lifestyle that is not only worth continuing, but you will want to continue.

Eat the foods that you love, but keep them healthy and remember not to over consume. People tend to over intellectualize weight loss when in reality it's not that mind boggling. Burn more calories than you eat. That's it, that's the golden formula. Whether you like steaks and want to go for the high protein, low carb diet or are unwilling to give up pasta and bread, find what diet works best for you.
